Madhya Pradesh Sends 32nd Ladli Behna Instalment, Rs 1,836 Crore to 1.25 Crore Women

Overview

• Each beneficiary receives Rs 1,500 after a Rs 250 increase implemented in November 2025.
• Alongside the transfer, the chief minister released over Rs 90 crore for gas‑refill assistance to 29 lakh recipients and launched projects exceeding Rs 206 crore in Narmadapuram.
• With this payout, total transfers under the scheme have crossed Rs 50,468 crore since its June 2023 launch.
• The beneficiary count has declined to about 1.25 crore after over 5.7 lakh deletions, including roughly 1.5 lakh who aged out at 60, while new enrolments remain frozen.
• NDTV reports the monthly outlay has risen to nearly Rs 1,850 crore, with 2026–27 costs projected at around Rs 22,680 crore as state debt reaches Rs 4,64,340 crore and annual interest nears Rs 27,000 crore.
