Madhya Pradesh Launches 10 Canter Buses at Panna to Boost Safari Access

The larger vehicles introduce on-site gate booking to ease access for day visitors.

Overview

  • Chief Minister Mohan Yadav flagged off the 19-seat canter buses from Panna National Park’s Madla Gate on Monday.
  • The buses are taller and longer than regular safari vehicles to improve visibility, comfort, and safety for children and seniors.
  • Fares are set at Rs 1,150 to Rs 1,450 per person for each round of the safari.
  • Gate booking is now available for these rides, reducing reliance on online slots that often sell out.
  • Officials say the fleet will be deployed to other major parks, including Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Pench, and Parsili in Sidhi, with the Panna route running from Madla Gate through the core area to Hinauta Gate.
