Overview

  • Madhya Pradesh on July 11 completed distribution of free bicycles to over 430,000 students who travel more than two kilometres to attend school under its ₹195 crore education scheme.
  • Approximately 94,000 Class 12 students who scored more than 75 per cent have received laptops as part of the state’s digital empowerment drive.
  • Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that electric scooters will be delivered next month to Class 12 toppers to further incentivise academic excellence.
  • The government has pledged to fully cover tuition fees for economically disadvantaged students who clear NEET but secure admission only in private medical colleges.
  • Government schools are being upgraded into Sandipani Vidyalayas with smart classrooms, labs and library enhancements; the state also plans to expand medical college seats from around 5,000 to 10,000.
