Madhya Pradesh CM Opens IIT-Backed Startup Hub in Indore

Overview

• Chief Minister Mohan Yadav opened the Launchpad: Incubation and Innovation Centre at Sinhasa IT Park in Indore, a joint effort by IIT Indore, DRISHTI CPS Foundation and the state electronics corporation.
• The centre spans about 10,000 square feet with co-working space and advanced labs, including an Intelligent Manufacturing Lab for prototyping and testing.
• The initiative set aside nearly Rs 10 crore for facilities and a further Rs 20 crore for startup support, with plans to back about 100 startups and create 200 to 300 jobs over seven years.
• During the same visit, he was scheduled to lay the foundation for phase four of the Narmada water supply project, a Rs 1,356 crore plan under AMRUT 2.0 to meet demand projected through 2040.
• He was also slated to open a 20 MLD sewage plant in Sirpur built for about Rs 62.72 crore that intercepts 10 sewer outfalls and supplies treated water to roughly 25 parks, and to address beneficiaries at a Sankalp Se Samadhan event after a district drive offering more than 100 public services.
