Overview
- The Council of Ministers approved the Rs 13,790 crore package on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, to fund projects across irrigation, power, courts, sports and public services.
- Irrigation allocations include Rs 4,197.58 crore for the Jawad‑Neemuch pressurised micro‑irrigation scheme, Rs 262.63 crore for Suthaliya and Rs 507.23 crore for Parvati‑Rinsi, planned for April 2026–March 2031 to develop irrigation over about 88,000 hectares.
- The cabinet cleared procurement of 2,800 MW of thermal power to be sourced by competitive tender under a DBFOO (design/build/finance/operate/own) model, with formal tendering and contracting the next steps.
- Judicial and administrative funding includes roughly Rs 2,015.60 crore for the high court, Rs 1,000 crore for family courts, Rs 554.61 crore for Gram Nyayalayas and Rs 524 crore for the state legal aid board, plus Rs 969.87 crore for six commercial tax schemes.
- The package also gives in‑principle Rs 962.50 crore for sports complexes in 140 assembly seats with permanent helipads, creates new teaching and public‑health engineering posts, and now moves into project planning, tendering, staffing and phased disbursements.
