Overview
- The BJP has organised a three-day training camp for June 14–16 in Pachmarhi to sharpen leaders’ public communication skills and deepen their understanding of party policies.
- MP BJP chief V D Sharma confirmed invitations to party president J P Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to address the cadre during the pre-planned camp.
- The announcement follows controversial remarks by leaders such as state tribal affairs minister Vijay Shah, whose comments on Colonel Sofiya Qureshi triggered a high court directive and a Supreme Court-appointed SIT.
- Opposition figures, including MP Congress media co-ordinator Abhinav Barolia, said the camp is insufficient to check BJP leaders’ objectionable statements.
- BJP spokesman Pankaj Chaturvedi stated the camp is a routine organisational exercise rather than a response to recent controversies.
