Madhya Pradesh Assembly Sets Dec 1–5 Winter Session as Opposition Seeks Extension

The Secretariat has issued a detailed timetable with Question Hour first, deadlines for private bills and resolutions, and a December 3 recess marking the Bhopal Gas tragedy.

  • The winter session will run December 1 to 5 with four sittings on December 1, 2, 4 and 5, and a recess on December 3.
  • Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar has written to the Governor, Speaker and Chief Minister urging a longer session, calling the allotted time inadequate for public issues.
  • Daily sittings are scheduled from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm, with private members’ business slated for the final two-and-a-half hours on December 5.
