Machete Attack in Brooklyn: Three NYPD Officers Injured

Suspect Jean Blain charged with attempted murder after assaulting officers responding to a disturbance call.

Three NYPD officers were injured in Brooklyn on Monday by a man wielding a machete.
The officers were responding to a report of an emotionally disturbed 40-year-old man inside an East Flatbush apartment.
One officer was slashed on the side of the head, another on the wrist, and the third on the shoulder.
The suspect, identified as Jean Blain, has been charged with attempted murder, assault, menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon.
All three officers were taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.
