• Around 8.25pm on Saturday, five uninvited males carrying machetes attacked a house party at a Carnegie Court home in Chifley
• The 16-year-old victim suffered lacerations to his back and legs and was transported to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in stable condition
• Officers from the Eastern Beaches Police Area Command established a crime scene, shut down the gathering and launched a formal investigation
• The suspects fled before police arrived and remain at large
• Authorities have urged anyone with information or dash-cam or mobile phone footage to contact Maroubra Police Station or Crime Stoppers
