Overview
- The eastbound slip road from the M62 at junction 10 to the M6 southbound at junction 21A was closed after a vehicle left the carriageway shortly before 1pm.
- Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said the car went down an embankment and collided with trees, trapping one person who was believed to be conscious.
- Firefighters set up lines on the embankment to reach the casualty and brought the person up to the road for treatment.
- The casualty was handed to North West Ambulance Service, and fire crews began packing up with no further updates expected from the service.
- National Highways and Inrix reported queueing traffic on approach to the closure near Houghton Green, with delays continuing as the slip road remains shut.
