Overview
- Traffic was fully held eastbound between junctions 22 and 23 after the crash reported around 7am on Wednesday, October 8.
- Two lanes were also closed westbound in the same stretch, which added to growing queues on that side.
- National Highways said the incident involved at least four cars and was moved to the hard shoulder before lanes reopened.
- All lanes were reported open by about 7:30am, yet residual delays of roughly an hour remained on both carriageways.
- INRIX and official updates earlier warned of about 45 minutes of delays and around four miles of congestion before the reopening.
