• Humberside Police said officers were called at about 2.50pm to a collision affecting the M18 at Thorne onto the M62 eastbound and junction 36 in both directions between Tom Pudding Way and Rawcliffe Road.
• Westbound traffic has been released, while the eastbound carriageway remains shut after earlier full closures reported by traffic service INRIX.
• INRIX first flagged the incident around 3.17pm, with both entry slip roads initially closed and traffic held in both directions.
• An air ambulance landed near the M18 as police attended, and diversions were set up in northerly and easterly directions.
• Live updates indicated traffic may not return to normal until at least 7pm, with lengthy queues reported near the M18.
