• National Highways reported that traffic was released on the M6 between junctions 35 and 36, but lanes two and three northbound remain shut with more than two miles of queues and drivers urged to allow extra time.
• Fresh Friday incidents are slowing routes in Staffordshire, with an A50 westbound collision near Blythe Bridge and a crash by the A500 at Longport leaving some traffic at a standstill, according to Inrix and live maps.
• On Thursday, the M62 eastbound at junction 11 near Birchwood reopened after an earlier lane-four closure, with National Highways saying delays eased following morning queues.
• Also on Thursday, an overturned vehicle on the M6 northbound between junctions 19 and 20 led to two lane closures and around six miles of congestion, with Cheshire Police noting a three-vehicle collision and injuries not yet confirmed.
• A separate Thursday campervan fire on the A50 near Sideway was extinguished and later deemed accidental with no injuries, after causing heavy congestion on both the A50 and the A500.
