Overview
- The collision was reported around 6:24–6:25am between Junctions 8 (M5) and 9 (Wednesbury).
- Three of four lanes were shut through the morning rush after traffic was initially held then released in lane 1.
- West Midlands Ambulance Service said three cars, a lorry and a van were involved.
- Two men were taken to Walsall Manor Hospital with injuries not believed to be serious.
- National Highways said all lanes later reopened but delays of about 90 minutes and multi‑mile congestion persisted.
