- The binding agreement covers Northvolt Ett and its Skellefteå expansion, Northvolt Labs in Västerås, Northvolt Drei in Heide, and all remaining intellectual property.
- Lyten gains 16 GWh of operational lithium-ion capacity at Ett and over 15 GWh under construction across Sweden and Germany.
- Funded by private equity, Lyten expects to close the transaction by year-end subject to approvals from Swedish and German regulators.
- Upon closing, the company plans to immediately revive production at Skellefteå and Västerås and collaborate with Northvolt’s former anchor customers.
- Lyten is also negotiating with Canadian and Québec officials to acquire the 15 GWh Northvolt Six project and expand its North American footprint.
