Lynyrd Skynyrd Cancels Tour as Johnny Van Zant's Daughter Undergoes Emergency Brain Surgery

Johnny Van Zant has requested prayers for his daughter Taylor, who was diagnosed with a brain cavernoma, and for the band's driver recovering from an accident.

Johnny Van Zant's youngest daughter, Taylor, was diagnosed with a cavernoma, a cluster of abnormal blood vessels in the brain.
Taylor experienced a numbing sensation on her right side, leading to the discovery of the brain mass and subsequent emergency surgery.
Lynyrd Skynyrd canceled several September tour dates, including performances in Alaska, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico, to allow Van Zant to be with his daughter.
Van Zant expressed gratitude for the fans' understanding and support, noting that Taylor is now home and resting but still undergoing additional testing.
Van Zant also asked for prayers for the band's bus driver, Brad Gibson, who is in the ICU following a scooter accident.
