Overview

• Deputies identified the victim as 62-year-old Lawanna J. Lewis of Lake Charles, found in a Westlake ditch with multiple gunshot wounds to the head.
• Investigators learned Lewis was working as a Lyft driver and her car was missing, later locating the vehicle at a Walmart near Wallisville Road in the Houston area.
• When Harris County deputies approached the car, two men fled on foot; 23-year-old Ethan Bush jumped onto a beltway and was fatally struck by a vehicle.
• The second suspect, 26-year-old Tristan Bush, was found and taken into custody in Harris County, charged with second-degree murder and held on a $2.5 million bond.
