Álvaro Obregón Triples Patrol Fleet as Jalisco Rolls Out 56 New Patrol Units

The deployments implement a coordinated security framework spearheaded by federal standards to expand modern patrol fleets for enhanced community surveillance.

Overview

  • Álvaro Obregón’s Sistema Integral de Seguridad 360 has tripled its patrol capacity by adding 125 new vehicles, including 15 hybrid units, to its existing fleet.
  • The new units comprise 110 Nissan Frontier pickups, 15 BYD hybrid SUVs and four support tow trucks to improve surveillance of streets, schools and public spaces.
  • Governor Pablo Lemus Navarro delivered 56 patrol cars to 28 municipalities in Jalisco’s Norte, Valles and Centro regions as part of a 259-unit statewide program.
  • Jalisco’s vehicle distribution follows per-capita criteria under federal security specifications to ensure municipalities with fewer resources receive proportional support.
  • A further 203 patrol vehicles are scheduled for phased allocation across 119 municipalities under the Programa de Gobierno 2024–2027’s Eje de Comunidades Seguras initiative.
