Overview
- Union coach Mauro Lustrinelli said the team must focus on continuity in performance rather than Dortmund's recent results and urged players to take a small step forward in the upcoming league game.
- Union earned their first Bundesliga win last weekend, a 1-0 victory over SV Elversberg, leaving the club with four points and 16th place after five matchdays.
- Lustrinelli signalled little change to his defence and is likely to keep centre-backs Felix Uduokhai and Zeno van den Bosch together after they helped keep a clean sheet against Elversberg.
- András Schäfer is expected to keep a midfield spot ahead of academy player Aljoscha Kemlein, whom Lustrinelli praised for work-rate and national-team experience.
- Borussia Dortmund remain unbeaten in the Bundesliga but lost 0-1 to FK Bodø/Glimt in the Champions League on Wednesday, and the fixture at the Alte Försterei is scheduled for Saturday at 15:30 on Sky.
