Lunar New Year Festival Opens at Disney California Adventure With New Menus, Shows and Panda Mei Debut

Running through Feb. 22, the Year of the Horse celebration features six marketplaces, a Sip & Savor pass, plus dozens of new menu items.

  • The event, officially dated Jan. 23–Feb. 22, quietly began serving guests a day early and is now fully underway across the park.
  • Six kiosks anchor the food program—Bamboo Blessings, Wrapped with Love, Lucky 8 Lantern, Prosperity Bao & Buns, Red Dragon Spice Traders, and Longevity Noodle Co.—with additional limited-time items at restaurants and carts.
  • The Sip & Savor Pass offers six digital coupons for select food and nonalcoholic beverages, comes in collectible designs, and cannot be used for alcohol.
  • Panda Mei from Turning Red is meeting guests in full red‑panda form at the Pixar Pier Bandshell, with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Clarabelle, Horace Horsecollar, Mulan, Mushu, and others appearing in culturally inspired outfits.
  • Entertainment includes Mulan’s New Year Procession and the Hurry Home pre‑show to World of Color, while coverage highlights more than 50 limited‑time items—35 new this year—such as Five‑Spice Popcorn Chicken, a Mandarin Orange Cream Puff, and a Quesabirria Eggroll, plus family activities like calligraphy and the Lucky Wishes Wall.
