Lula Orders Federal Action to Investigate Enel Power Failures in Greater São Paulo

Overview

• The Ministry of Mines and Energy was directed to work with ANEEL to guarantee adequate, continuous and efficient electricity distribution for the region.
• The Attorney General’s Office will produce a detailed report on the concessionaire’s actions since the first major interruption and may use judicial and extrajudicial measures, including requisitioning information from ANEEL.
