Luke Voit Designated by Brewers, Sent to Minors After 22 Games

Luke Voit was designated for assignment by the Milwaukee Brewers after 22 games and hitting .221 with no home runs.
The Brewers owe Voit $1.3 million for the remainder of his contract.
Voit had 20 or more home runs in three of the last four seasons before joining the Brewers.
Left-handed pitcher Álex Claudio was also assigned outright to the Brewers' Triple-A affiliate in Nashville.
The Brewers have one week to trade Voit, release him, or send him to the minors if he agrees.
