Luján Youth Pilgrimage Sets Off Today With Massive Health, Water and Transport Operation

A coordinated push supplies medical aid, hydration and special Sarmiento trains to support the 60‑kilometer march.

Overview

  • The 51st Pilgrimage departs at 10:00 from the San Cayetano Sanctuary in Liniers, with walkers covering roughly 60 kilometers under the motto “Mother, give us love to walk with hope.”
  • Buenos Aires Province activated a multi‑ministry plan led by the Chief Adviser’s Office that includes mobile hospitals, ambulances, police and traffic controls, chemical toilets, food and recycling points.
  • Trenes Argentinos is running additional Sarmiento services between Moreno and Luján on Saturday and Sunday and overnight frequencies between Liniers and Moreno to ease travel.
  • AySA deployed 12 tanker trucks for potable water along the route, complemented by marked hydration points and free snacks for participants.
  • The route features 58 free medical posts and 14 support and rest stations, with the Emergency Operations Center based at the National University of Luján and the central Mass set for Sunday at 07:00 led by Archbishop Jorge García Cuerva.
