  • Competitive screenings have begun with the Castilla y León shorts block featuring titles such as La raíz, El síndrome del recomendado, Polígono X and El nudo de Ángela.
  • An Emergentes showcase highlighted new women directors with films including Delincuente, Handy Love, La idea de una isla, Play and Baile con la muerte.
  • Three more Águila de Oro tributes are scheduled: Óscar de la Fuente on November 30, Olivier Smolders on December 3 and Fernando Cayo at the December 7 closing ceremony.
