Ludvig Åberg Leads RSM Classic with Stellar Performance

The PGA Tour rookie is on track for a potential victory, which could catapult him into the top 60 in the FedEx Cup.

PGA Tour rookie Ludvig Åberg leads the RSM Classic after two rounds, having not made a single bogey and carding a 6-under 64 on the Seaside course.
Åberg is No. 3 in strokes gained total at 3.8, picking up almost four shots on the field after two days of play, and missed just four greens in regulation across two rounds.
Åberg is also No. 3 in strokes gained off the tee at 1.7 and No. 2 in driving distance, and drove the green on the par-4 5th to make his first of six birdie putts on the day.
A victory would move Åberg into the top 60 in the FedEx Cup, send him to Maui to start the new season at Kapalua and get him into the first two $20 million signature events at Pebble Beach and Riviera, as well as the Masters.
Åberg, McCarthy and Ryder will be the last group off the first tee on Seaside Saturday morning, beginning their round at 11:05 a.m. ET.
