Lucknow Super Giants Owner Acquires Majority Stake in Manchester Originals

Sanjiv Goenka's RPSG Group becomes the first investor to hold a controlling stake in a Hundred franchise, valuing Manchester Originals at £107 million.

Sanjiv Goenka, owner of the Lucknow Super Giants IPL team, purchased 70% of the Manchester Originals franchise for approximately £75 million.
The acquisition includes the ECB's 49% stake and 21% of Lancashire's share in the Originals, marking the first majority stake sale in The Hundred.
Manchester Originals' valuation of £107 million makes it the third most valuable franchise in the tournament, following London Spirit and Oval Invincibles.
The Hundred's auction process has raised about £350 million so far, benefiting both grassroots cricket and first-class counties in England.
Other IPL owners, including Sunrisers Hyderabad and GMR (Delhi Capitals), are expected to secure stakes in upcoming franchise sales this week.
