Lucknow Police Charge Five Under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita in Revenge Murder

Police have charged five men with culpable homicide, criminal conspiracy in the May killing of a coconut vendor after matching distinctive CCTV footage to a social media post.

  • On July 20, Lucknow police arrested Sonu Kashyap, Sunny Kashyap, Salamu, Ranjeet Kumar and Rehmat Ali in connection with the May 22 abduction and beating of 22-year-old coconut water seller Manoj Kumar.
