Overview

  • Lucinda’s is housed at 159 Avenue A in Manhattan’s East Village in the former Brownies/Hi-Fi/Coney Island Baby/Lola/East Berlin venue and is co-founded by singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams, promoter Laura McCarthy and manager Kelley Swindall.
  • On July 29, Williams led a private opening performance with Laura Cantrell and DJs Moonshine and Prison Rodeo that was streamed live at 9 p.m. ET on SiriusXM Outlaw Country.
  • The honky-tonk bar will open to the public on July 31, offering daily operations with hours from Sunday afternoon through the early morning on weekends.
  • Weekly programming features bluegrass picking nights, Friday live band country karaoke and Sunday songwriter open mics, while weekend evenings will host live country shows.
  • Monthly East Village Cxntry Club gatherings provide an all-inclusive queer country party, complemented by art installations from Jeremy Tepper and Michael Worthington and photography by Danny Clinch as a tribute to the venue’s musical heritage.
