Lucid Sets $50,000 Midsize EV for Overseas Push, Eyes UK Launch in 2026

Production of the midsize platform is slated to start next year to underpin at least three models.

Overview

  • Interim CEO Marc Winterhoff said the UK entry will be based on a new midsize platform targeting about £36,900 in December 2026, positioning it below Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y in price.
  • Right-hand-drive plans have been reopened for the Gravity, which requires additional investment and could unlock markets such as Australia.
  • Lucid opened Gravity orders in Europe, with the SUV priced from €116,900 in Germany and a Touring trim planned at €99,900.
  • A 2026 Gravity Dream Edition with roughly 200 miles appeared on Cars & Bids, drawing a top offer of $112,500 versus a $139,900 MSRP, according to the listing.
  • Lucid rolled out software version 3.3.1 for Gravity owners, fixing key-fob issues and adding Halo Secure’s Live View and Drive Recorder in beta.
