Lucid Motors Announces Major Price Cuts Across EV Lineup

In a bid to stimulate demand, Lucid Motors slashes prices on its electric vehicles, offering additional incentives like charging credits and free maintenance.

Lucid Motors reduces prices for its electric vehicles for the third time in seven months, with the base Air Pure model now starting at $71,400.
The company offers up to $1,000 for customers to purchase charging equipment and includes free scheduled maintenance for two years or up to 24,000 miles.
Lucid's price cuts aim to address barriers to EV ownership amid a broader slowdown in EV sales and intense competition in the luxury EV market.
Despite the price reductions, Lucid's vehicles remain significantly more expensive than the average EV, with the Air Pure model still over $20,000 above the average sale price.
Lucid's struggles include producing only 8,428 vehicles in 2023, of which only 6,001 were delivered to customers, and laying off 18 percent of its workforce.
