Lucid Holds 2027 Air Prices and Simplifies Entry Trim

The company added a bundled Stealth & Sound option while managing production fixes, staff cuts and a $1.4 billion cost-reduction plan to protect demand.

Overview

  • Lucid opened the 2027 Air configurator on Wednesday and kept starting prices unchanged for the Pure, Touring, Grand Touring and Sapphire in both the U.S. and Canada.
  • The entry-level Air Pure now has a narrower option list anchored by a Stealth & Sound Package sold in two wheel-based versions priced at $4,500 and $6,250 that differ only by 19- or 20-inch wheels.
  • Lucid continues to market the Air Grand Touring as the longest-range EV on sale with an up-to-512-mile claim, and EPA data show wheel choice can cut Air Pure range from about 420 miles on 19-inch wheels to about 372 miles on 20-inch wheels.
  • The configurator lists a $2,000 order deposit and an estimated 8–12 week delivery window, and the announcement produced a modest stock bump of roughly 2.6–3 percent.
  • The product update comes as Lucid works through a difficult 2026 that included a 29-day Gravity delivery halt, an 18 percent U.S. workforce reduction and steps to remove about $1.4 billion in annual costs while saying it has liquidity into 2027.
