Overview
- Singapore’s Land Transport Authority authorized testing with all 11 Ai.R autonomous shuttles across Punggol.
- WeRide and Grab plan to increase test runs on the two shuttle routes by up to four times by the end of 2025 to validate service readiness.
- More than 100 runs have been completed since mid-October as Safety Operator trainees progress from closed-circuit practice to on-road supervision.
- The fleet consists of ten five-seat GXRs and one eight-seat Robobus using 360-degree lidar and camera systems with up to roughly 200-metre detection, including in rain.
- Initial public rides are expected in early 2026 with Safety Operators on board, connecting residents to Punggol Coast MRT, the bus interchange, malls and clinics.
