Overview
- Larsen & Toubro said its Hydrocarbon Onshore arm secured an order exceeding Rs 15,000 crore to build a Natural Gas Liquids facility in the Middle East.
- L&T won the project in consortium with Greece-based Consolidated Contractors Group, with L&T leading engineering and procurement and CCC executing construction.
- The contract covers engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of the NGL plant along with associated utilities, offsite works and integration with existing facilities.
- The plant will process rich associated gas by removing impurities such as hydrogen sulphide, carbon dioxide and water to produce lean sales gas, ethane, propane, butane and hydrocarbon condensate.
- L&T classifies orders above Rs 15,000 crore as ultra-mega, and the announcement coincided with an intraday share-price rise of up to about 1.8% after a separate large Bengaluru IT-park win last week.
