Overview
- L&T disclosed an order from Hindalco to build a 180 KTPA aluminium smelter with a Gas Treatment Centre for a greenfield project in Odisha, valued in the Rs 2,500–5,000 crore range.
- A separate contract from Tata Steel covers a 1 MTPA Coke Oven Battery 6 A/B at the company’s Jamshedpur plant.
- The Minerals & Metals business will execute the projects with full EPC scope, including engineering, manufacturing, supply, construction and complete installation.
- L&T highlighted a three-decade partnership with Hindalco and reported additional domestic orders for mining and material-handling equipment such as stacker reclaimers, wagon tipplers, crushers and surface miners.
- L&T shares have gained 6.8% over the past month and 18.89% in six months, with Q2 FY26 earnings scheduled for October 29.
