Overview
- On August 7, Lt Governor V.K. Saxena opened the 7,552-square-metre DDA mini sports complex in Sukhdev Vihar.
- The open-air facility features courts for badminton, lawn tennis, pickleball, a cricket practice pitch, a children’s park and a jogging track.
- The venue will operate on a pay-and-play model to ensure broad public access.
- Saxena urged citizens, especially youth, to use and maintain the venue as part of Modi’s push for healthier urban living.
- With the addition of Sukhdev Vihar, the DDA’s portfolio now spans 18 sports complexes, four mini-complexes and three golf courses across Delhi.
