Mike Williams III led LSU with 15 points, 13 of which were scored in the second half.
LSU's Jordan Wright, Jalen Reed, and Trae Hannibal also contributed with 13, 13, and 11 points respectively.
TJ Madlock was the top scorer for Alabama State with 18 points, followed by Isaiah Range with 15 points and CJ Hines with 13 points.
This was the first ever meeting between the two schools.
