LSU hit with major sanctions for recruiting violations, Will Wade suspended

LSU's football and men's basketball teams received three years of probation from the NCAA along with scholarship reductions and recruiting restrictions.
Former LSU men's basketball coach Will Wade was given a two-year show-cause penalty and suspended for 10 games.
Investigations found Wade committed violations including failing to report potential issues,paying an ex-player's fiancee, and not cooperating with the NCAA.
LSU had self-imposed some penalties but the NCAA added additional years of probation and consequences.
Wade was fired as LSU's coach in March and now coaches at McNeese State but can't recruit off-campus for two years.
