LSU Freshman Pole Vaulter Dillon Reidenauer Dies in Tragic Campus Car Crash

Dillon Reidenauer, an 18-year-old LSU freshman and promising pole vaulter, was killed in a car crash near the university's campus on Wednesday night.
The collision occurred when Reidenauer's vehicle attempted a left turn and was struck by a motorcycle driven by 23-year-old Bohdi Linton, who also died in the crash.
Reidenauer, a native of Abita Springs, Louisiana, was celebrated for her athletic achievements, including a second-place finish at the 2024 Louisiana State Championships in pole vaulting.
LSU Track & Field coach Dennis Shaver and the university expressed profound grief, offering condolences to the families and teammates of both victims.
Reidenauer was pursuing a degree in interior design at LSU, and her death has left the campus community mourning the loss of a talented and kind young woman.
