Head Coach Brian Kelly Announces Changes After 10-3 Season, Citing Need for Improvement in Defense

LSU Tigers head coach Brian Kelly has announced the dismissal of defensive coordinator Matt House and three assistant coaches.
The decision follows a 10-3 season and a 35-31 victory against Wisconsin in the ReliaQuest Bowl.
Despite the successful season, LSU's defense struggled, allowing 28.0 points per game and finishing tied for 78th among FBS defenses.
House, who spent two seasons as the defensive coordinator in Baton Rouge, previously coached linebackers with the Kansas City Chiefs and worked as the DC for Kentucky, Florida International and Pitt.
LSU begins the 2024 season against USC in the Vegas Kickoff Classic on Sept. 1.
