  • LSU resumed its rain-delayed contest against UCLA on Tuesday morning at Charles Schwab Field and secured a 9-5 victory to improve to 2-0 in the College World Series.
  • Jared Jones tied the game with a three-run homer in the first inning and later added an RBI single in the eighth, marking his 21st home run of the season and 63rd of his career.
  • Freshman reliever Casan Evans earned the win by pitching 4⅓ scoreless innings with five strikeouts after play resumed, and Chase Shores closed out the game with a perfect save.
  • Arkansas will face UCLA at 7 p.m. ET after Gage Wood threw the only no-hitter of this year’s CWS and struck out a record 19 batters in a 3-0 win over Murray State.
  • The winner of Tuesday’s elimination game advances to face LSU in Wednesday’s bracket final and must defeat the Tigers twice to reach the best-of-three championship series.
