LPGA Tour to Return to New England with $3.5M FM Global Championship at TPC Boston in 2024

The FM Global Championship marks the LPGA's first New England return since 2004, with the $3.5 million purse being the largest outside of the tour's majors and championships. The partnership will last for five years, starting in 2024, and the annual purse will increase by $300k starting in 2025.

LPGA Tour and commercial property insurance company FM Global have announced a new five-year partnership which will include a tournament with the largest purse outside of the tour's major and championships.
Set to be played at TPC Boston in Norton, Massachusetts, the tournament, named the 2024 FM Global Championship, will begin on August 29 and end on September 1, featuring a field of 144 players.
Boston is becoming a hub for women's sports, with the LPGA Tour returning to New England for the first time since 2004 and new teams in the Professional Women's Hockey League and National Women’s Soccer League also set to call the city home in 2024 and 2026 respectively.
The $3.5 million purse is set to increase by $300k every year from 2025 as part of the partnership with FM Global, marking the insurance firm's first major sports sponsorship.
LPGA Commissioner Mollie Marcoux Samaan expressed her excitement about joining the increasinly diverse sports landscape in Boston, pointing out the potential of the event to inspire, empower and advance girls and women in sport.
