Louisville to Retire Junior Bridgeman’s No. 10 on Dec. 13 vs. Memphis

The honor recognizes his legacy spanning Louisville stardom to civic and business leadership.

  • The ceremony will take place at the KFC Yum! Center, with his wife Doris and children Eden, Justin and Ryan expected to attend.
  • Bridgeman’s No. 10 becomes the program’s sixth retired number in men’s basketball.
  • Senior guard Isaac McKneely will be the final Cardinal to wear No. 10, which will be taken out of circulation after the 2025–26 season.
  • A Louisville standout from 1972–75, Bridgeman scored 1,348 points and helped the Cardinals reach the 1975 Final Four.
  • He played 12 NBA seasons, primarily with the Bucks, later built a major business portfolio, and died March 11 at age 71 after a medical emergency at the Galt House.
