Louisiana Parishioners Prevent Potential Church Shooting During Children's Service

A 16-year-old armed with a rifle was subdued by quick-thinking parishioners at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, avoiding potential tragedy.

The incident occurred during a First Holy Communion ceremony with around 60 children present.
The armed teenager was confronted and held by parishioners until police arrived.
No injuries were reported, and the suspect was taken for a mental health evaluation.
