• On September 10, Tomlinson told fans on X that he was listening to his new record and had a “really, really good feeling” about it.
• In July he said on stage that he had finished the next record, though no title or release date has been announced.
• He suggested he will perform new material at his Away From Home festival and indicated it could be more than a single song.
• The festival is set for October 4–5 at Brewery Ommegang in New York with a bill that includes Lauv, Steve Aoki, Pale Waves, Circa Waves, Plain White T’s and Daya.
• He is also slated for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge on October 29, adding another high-profile appearance this fall.
