Lost Diamond Ring Found at Greenville Recycling Center

Public Works Employees Spend Hours Searching, Earn Praise for Dedication

Melanie Harper of Greenville, South Carolina, accidentally lost her diamond wedding band in a recycling bin at the city's Rutherford Road recycling center on Sunday, Jan. 28.
Harper emailed the City of Greenville's Public Works department, acknowledging the slim chances of finding the ring but expressing hope.
Instead of processing the bin's contents, Public Works employees dumped them on the ground and began a meticulous search on Monday.
Public Works employee Travis Golden found the ring after hours of searching.
The City of Greenville and social media users praised the Public Works employees for their commitment and effort.
