Los Angeles to Hold Memorial Mass for Pope Francis Ahead of Vatican Funeral

  • The Archdiocese of Los Angeles will hold a memorial Mass for Pope Francis on Friday, April 25, at 12:10 p.m. at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.
  • Archbishop José H. Gomez, joined by auxiliary bishops and clergy, will preside over the service dedicated to honoring the late pontiff's life and ministry.
  • The Mass will precede Pope Francis’ funeral, scheduled for Saturday, April 26, at St. Peter’s Square in Rome, followed by his burial at the Basilica of Santa Maggiore.
