Overview

  • The Los Angeles Sparks will retire Parker’s No. 3 jersey during halftime of the June 29 game against the Chicago Sky at Crypto.com Arena.
  • The ceremony makes Parker the third Sparks honoree alongside Lisa Leslie and Penny Toler whose numbers hang from the rafters.
  • Chicago Sky has scheduled its own retirement of Parker’s jersey for August 25, making her one of only two WNBA players with dual team retirements.
  • WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert hailed the dual honors as a fitting tribute to Parker’s three championships with three teams and her pioneering MVP and Rookie of the Year achievement in 2008.
  • Over 13 seasons, Parker amassed 1,331 assists to become the Sparks’ all-time assist leader and led the franchise to the 2016 title with a Finals MVP performance.
