• The incident unfolded at about 6:30pm on 6 September at the Palterton Lane bridge near junction 29 of the M1, according to Derbyshire Police.
• Driver Dan Shillito, 34, from Hull, positioned his lorry under the bridge and supported the man’s legs on his shoulders until officers secured him.
