Overview
- SMN and Conagua project 150–250 mm of rain in southern Baja California and Baja California Sur, 75–150 mm in western and southern Sonora and in northern and coastal Sinaloa, and 50–75 mm in Durango, Zacatecas, Nayarit, Aguascalientes, Jalisco, Guerrero, Puebla, southern Veracruz and Oaxaca.
- Forecast hazards include strong wind gusts, elevated seas and possible trombas marinas in the Gulf of California, along with urban flooding, landslides, rising rivers and reduced visibility.
- Additional features — low‑pressure channels, an upper‑level trough, Tropical Wave No. 30 and a stationary Front No. 1 in the northeast — are expected to spread showers and storms across western, central, southern and southeastern Mexico and the Yucatán Peninsula.
- In the Valley of Mexico, a cloudy day is expected with localized strong showers, lightning and possible hail, with temperatures near 23–25 °C in Mexico City and 19–21 °C in Toluca.
- In Europe and South America, AEMET‑based forecasts call for mostly cloudy conditions with high humidity and light, likely morning rains across Pontevedra towns on Sept. 4, while Argentina’s Tucumán is set to cool sharply after a frontal passage with light showers and a maximum near 13 °C.
