Loongson Unveils 9A2000 GPU with RTX 2080-Level Performance

Chinese chipmaker Loongson claims its upcoming 9A2000 GPU will offer a significant performance boost over its predecessor and rival established brands.

The 9A2000 GPU is said to be 8-10 times faster than Loongson's current 9A1000 model.
Loongson's Chairman Hu Weiwu suggests the 9A2000 could match Nvidia's RTX 2080 in performance.
The GPU's DirectX 12 compatibility remains uncertain, potentially affecting gaming performance.
Loongson is also developing the 3B6600 CPU, targeting performance on par with major x86 and ARM competitors.
Mass production of the 9A2000 is expected to start in the first half of 2025.
